The Calgary Flames are another ice hockey team founded in the year of 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia, until the team had shifted to Calgary in 1980. It is a professional team which based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. The Flames are the third major team which is representing the city of Calgary and the one of the NHL franchise in Alberta. They are the member of the Northwest Division of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League. In the year of 1989 the Flames has won their first Stanley Cup. The Flames are playing their home games at Pengrowth Saddledome.

The team has several Owners in which the N. Murray Edwards are the Chairman and the Harley Hotchkiss is the Governor, the General Manger is the Darryl Sutter , the Head coach is the Brent Sutter and the captain of the team is Jarome Iginla. The colors of the team are red, black, gold and white. The team has various logos which have designed in different years.

The latest of 2009-10 is the 30th season and the 37th for the franchise in the National Hockey League. The team has come in this season with the new head coach and they has expected to battle with Vancouver Canucks for top spot in the Northwest Division. The Flames will be attempting to qualify for the playoffs for the 6th consecutive season. The fans are excited to see their best team in the Finals.
